The Budapest Marathon will take place on October 15 Budapest, it is the pearl of the Danube, as it is often called. Budapest combines the charms of two cities separated by the Great Danube, Buda and Pest. On the right bank, Buda offers its fairytale castles, fortresses and medieval neighborhoods. From the top of its green hills, it overlooks the Danube. On the left bank, Pest lines up its eclectic palaces, its churches and its large “Art Nouveau” hotels to extend far into the plain. Marathon presentation
Taking place in October, the Budapest marathon offers you mild weather for your event (between 8 and 16°C). With his route, a large part of which is along the Danube, you will enjoy the clear view offered by the banks for the majority of the race. Its two fairly flat loops around the river make it a pleasant route despite some passages over bridges. The Budapest marathon will allow you to pass through its historic center, recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site. You will run, in particular, in front of the Buda Palace and the parliament of the capital.
If you prefer to opt fore relay, the 30 or 10 kms, you will still be able to enjoy the Danube just as much. This is indeed the central point of this sporting weekend. When you cross the finish line, you will receive your Finisher t-shirt and your medal to wear proudly. Bringing together not far from 30,000 participants, this sporting event is one of the most anticipated in the capital each year.
Please note that due to the pandemic, the organization is not holding the Pasta Party this year. She prefers to do everything possible to ensure the best possible health conditions and that everyone enjoys this event.
