With its 42.195 kms in the center of Prague and on the banks of the Vltava, the Prague Marathon is a popular Central European race. Appreciated by many marathoners, it attracts more and more participants every year, with 10,600 runners today.
Right from the start of the Prague Marathon, you’ll enjoy the Volkswagen Prague Marathon Music Festival. You’ll appreciate the atmosphere along the route. From the very first kilometers, you’ll have the opportunity to run through the most beautiful Czech city, with its typical medieval streets. Continuing along the river, you’ll catch a glimpse of Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and St. Vitus Cathedral. For the marathon finish, you’ll return to the capital’s historic center.
The course, on a flat road with few gradients, will appeal to runners of all levels. For this 26th edition of the Prague Marathon, come and run, cheer and share your experience with other sports enthusiasts! Planet Tours guarantees the race number and registration for each runner.
Note that the start and finish lines of the marathon are in the same place: the old town square(Staroměstské náměstí). This square is very close to our hotel, since it’s a ten-minute walk. Whether you’re a runner or an accompanying person, you’ll be free to go there at any time during the race.
