You'll know you're getting closer to the finish line as you finish in the sublime streets of Venice. Do you prefer a shorter distance? In addition to its 10 km, the organization now offers the half marathon.

Race registration formalities
- Have an athletics license
- Have an Italian RunCard (https://www.runcard.com/login) as well as a medical certificate according to Italian standards
- Sign the organizers’ certificate. You have the same services but are classified by name and not by time. Your time will be sent to you individually.
Marathon presentation
Participating in the Venice marathon means first of all running, part of the 42,195 km in the beautiful region that surrounds the city. Then the route will take you to finish in the most romantic city in the world. You will be cheered by a crowd of spectators and tourists surprised to see Saint Mark's Square crossed by a mass of runners. It's this amazing mix ofa great race in a place of culture and charm that gives the Venice marathon all its originality.
There starting line will be located in the town of Stra, In the gardens of Villa Pisani which exceptionally opens its doors to marathon runners That day. The circuit will allow you to follow the Riviera del Brenta bordered by numerous typically Venetian villas. You will continue your effort, in the town centers of Marghera and Mestre to reach the San Giuliano park. You will borrow the famous Ponte della Libertà, 4km long allowing you to enter Venice. After passing the port of Venice, you will return to the center via the Canale della Giudecca. A floating bridge, specially made for the occasion, will allow you to cross the Grand Canal. After reaching Piazza San Marco, you will see the Doge's Palace to reach the lfinish line at Riva Sette Martiri where your finisher medal will be waiting for you. Generally speaking, the marathon route is rather flat although there are a few bridges to cross, particularly in Venice.
On the logistics side, the organizers are planning water supplies every 5 km. Cakes, fruit and energy drinks will be available to you from the 20th kilometer. A cloakroom will allow you to leave your personal belongings to collect them at the finish of the marathon. Of the Shuttles are available to runners to reach the starting area. In the same way after crossing the finish line of the race to reach MESTRE. You can participate as a competitor if you have a French athletics license or an Italian RunCard for €15 as well as a medical certificate in Italian format. If necessary, we can help you obtain the RunCard. If you are a non-Italian resident, you can participate as a non-competitor. You have the same services but are not classified by time but in alphabetical order. A certificate will then have to be signed at the latest, when collecting the bibs at the marathon expo.
If you want a shorter distance, the marathon organizers have planned, pour first time doing a half marathon whose route remains to be defined. Please note, being a test, places are extremely limited over this distance. If you prefer, a 10km is available to you. It corresponds to the last kilometers of the marathon from Mestre to the center of Venice.
The Venice Marathon and its other races will not leave you indifferent. Unique races in a unique setting!

• Deposit of half of the trip to be paid upon booking and the balance 75 days before departure.
IMPORTANT :
Registrations for a double room to share are accepted provided that other people express the same desire. Otherwise, the traveler concerned will have to pay for the trip on the basis of the single room.
This option is offered to people who wish to travel on their own.

LEONARDO ROYAL 4*
THE ROYAL LEONARDO is a contemporary hotel located in Venice-Mestre. This remarkable building has one of the most imposing glass structures in Europe. This hotel enjoys an exceptional location five minutes from Mestre train station and just 10.11 minutes by car, train or bus from the historic center of Venice. The hotel faces a marina. You therefore have access to water.
The hotel has 376 modern rooms, spread between two buildings. Rooms are decorated in natural tones and have a TV and minibar. Free Wi-Fi is available at the property.
The restaurant serves Italian and international cuisine. You will find lounge bars offering different types of wines and cocktails as well as meals directly on the canal promenade
You will stay at LEONARDO ROYAL****. Located in Mestre, this hotel is ideally placed for your sporting stay. Mestre is the central city of this event. Shuttles will allow quickly collect your bib for the race. THE bus for the departures of marathons, half and 10 kms are done at the foot of the hotel. Finally, with its 250m separating it from the bus and train station, you will be able to reach the historic center of Venice in 10, 15 minutes door to door.
Certainly one of the prettiest cities in the world, Venice will captivate you with its character and style. Between multiple canals, unique gondolas in the world and steep streets ideal for discoveries, its particularity will not leave you indifferent. Let yourself be tempted by a vaporetto ride (a means of river transport specific to Venice) to enjoy the best views of the lagoon. You will have understood, it is a perfect weekend for the pleasure of running and sightseeing.
