Marathon presentation
Run the Rio de Janeiro marathon, is to enjoy a race along the Atlantic and Guanabara Bay. With its route revised in recent years, the marathon organizers offer you a unique circuit. Closer to that of the 2016 Olympic Games, it is flatter this which will allow marathon runners to improve their times or even better enjoy this sublime environment, between ocean and terrain.
The start and finish lines of the marathon are located in the beautiful park of Aterro do Flamengo. After taking a tour of the city center, you will return to the coast along the beaches of Leblon, Ipanema and the very famous Copagabana. Don’t stop when you see our hotel 😉 You will have to return to Aterro de Flamengo to finish your marathon.
If you prefer shorter distances, the organizers offer you a half-marathon the day before whose departure is planned directly in the Leblon district on Delfim Moreira Avenue. As for the finish, it will take place at the same place as the marathon. You also have the possibility of running 10 km. Its date remains to be defined by the organizers.
Whatever the distance chosen, all race participants will receive an event T-shirt as well as a finisher medal. Enough to keep good memories of this event. Please note that proof of complete vaccination (1 or 2 doses) will be requested by the organizers.

Regular Air France flight: Thursday, May 30, departure from Paris-CDG at 1:10 p.m., arrival in Rio at 7:35 p.m.
Return from Rio on Wednesday June 5 at 9:55 p.m., arrival in Paris on Thursday June 6 at 2:10 p.m.
