Marathon presentation
THE Madrid marathon is very popular close to the runners and one of the most important sporting events in Spain. This test is characterized by 2 things. On the one hand, its ideal route for an open-air city tour. The organizers have chosen to have you run in front of several of the city's most beautiful monuments. With, in particular, the Real Palace, the Almudena Cathedral, the Prado Museum or the Cybele Palace, Madrid will no longer have any secrets for you. On the other side, the difficulty of his journey. The city is located at almost 700 meters above sea level with many elevation changes. THE circuit is spectacular, intense and dynamic at the same time for marathon runners. THE The start of the marathon is given on the grand Paseo de la Castellana for an arrival in front of the Plaza de Colón.
If you prefer a shorter distance for this event, you can absolutely move towards the half-marathon or 10km. The starts and finishes of the races are located in the same place. This will allow you to enjoy the same environment as elevation changes. With almost 39,000 participants each year, it is an unmissable event in Spain not to be missed. Please note that all race participants will receive medals and T-shirts.

You will stay at theHotel Metropolitano which displays 4*. This establishment is located in the city center. It is therefore perfect for exploring the wonders of Madrid. For example, the National Museum of Natural Sciences is less than 30 minutes away on foot. Transport will also be easily accessible to you since the Cuatro Caminos metro station is located 100m from the establishment.
Within the hotel, you will enjoy the comfort of the rooms and their bedding. Every morning, breakfast will be served in the hotel restaurant in buffet style. This is included in our packages to ensure you have a peaceful stay. For information, you can reach the start of the marathon in 20 minutes on foot from the hotel. This will allow you to go there freely whenever you want.
