Marathon presentation
By running the London Marathon, you are participating in theone of the largest marathons in the world. There is more of two million supporters to encourage you which guarantees you a crazy atmosphere during the race. This is a journey, flat, quick and friendly.
THE start of the marathon will be given in Greenwich on Sunday morning. The organization provides 3 different zones: blue, green and red. Depending on the time you are aiming for, you will be assigned to a starting zone. This starting point will be the opportunity to discover the Cutty Sark, the famous British navy sailboat.
In addition to its cheerful and lively atmosphere, London takes you through must-see places in the city from the start of this popular race such as Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, the Tower of London, Westminster, London Eye, Big Ben or even the Thames on the last few kilometers. The finish line located at Saint James Park next to Buckingham Palace, will end your experience in style. So British!
The Virgin Money London Marathon is one of six marathons making up the " World Marathon Majors » avec Berlin, Boston, Chicago, New York et Tokyo. Si vous êtes adepte de courses à pieds et plus particulièrement de courses hors stade, athlète ou débutant sportif, venez prendre le départ de la 44ème édition du marathon et décrochez votre médaille et votre T-shirt finisher de cette épreuve mythique.
As with each edition, the organizer is planning an exhibition where you can collect your bib. Please note that no medical certificate is necessary. No Pasta Party is offered by the organization. This is why we offer you a private one at the hotel, for an additional fee the day before the event.
