Marathon presentation
By running the Dublin Marathon you will understand why it is known as the friendship marathon: Friendship Marathon. During throughout your race, you will be supported by encouragement of all the numerous spectators gathered along the roads. This will make it easier for you to forget the difficulty of certain passages 😉 In addition to the atmosphere planned at the start and finish of the marathon, orchestras are planned throughout the circuit.
THE marathon route was very well studied to offer you a diversity of landscapes particularly interesting. Whether it is the city center and its monuments, part of the industrial zone or its many green spaces specific to Ireland, your physical effort will be rewarded by this fabulous spectacle open air. The departure area is located on Fitzwilliam street upper and your arrival is planned at Merrion Square Noth.
As for supplies, the marathon organizers offer you water, drinks and energy gels as well as bananas. To this, you can add the numerous candies that the spectators will hand out to you in numbers over the last few kilometers: enough to go the distance. Once the finish line has passed, all marathon runners will be rewarded with the distribution of a medal and a finisher T-shirt.
By leaving with Planet Tours, you secure your bib which will be collected at the marathon expo upon your arrival in Dublin. Our guide will help you with the procedures if necessary.
