Organizing your sporting event
- During your stay with us, our guide will suggest that any marathon runners who wish to do so meet up in a group to go to the marathon expo.
- On Saturday morning, you can take part in the NYRR Dash to the finish line 5K. This race takes place in midtown Manhattan, finishing in Central Park. It’s a great opportunity to get in those last few strides before heading to the start line the following day. If you’d like to take part, please note that a supplement will be charged by the organizers. Please specify this on your registration form to protect your place. The event fills up very quickly. We’ll do our best to accommodate everyone.
- There is no Pasta Party offered by the marathon organization. However, you can easily find pasta dishes closer to the hotel.
- A medical certificate is not required. By registering, you acknowledge that you are physically fit to take part in this marathon.
- In terms of refreshments, the organization is planning to provide only liquid refreshments (water, energy drinks and gels for the last few kms).
- If you’re a companion and want to enjoy the route, we recommend you take the last few kilometers in Central Park. As you’ll see in our section on the route, the U starts at around kilometer 26, allowing you to walk to Firth Avenue and back into Central Park. Don’t hesitate to ask our tour guide if you have any questions. Access to the finish line bleachers is not free. So find a spot in the park, as the course passes through it.
Crowd of details
- Whether you’re a top-level athlete or a passionate amateur runner, you’ll be among the more than 10,000 foreign athletes present on the day. A truly international event, with 125 countries represented. The parade of nations, broadcast across the country on television screens, is a testament to its fame. You’ll be able to enjoy it in the streets of New York.
- With over 2 million spectators, you’ll be carried all the way to the finish line. Some of them will even offer you a few wild refreshments or impromptu concerts.
- This legendary marathon always falls on the first Sunday in November. So, depending on the current year’s calendar, a trip to New York will allow you to discover the city in Halloween colors. You’ll be amazed at how New Yorkers play the game and parade through the streets in their finest costumes. Whether you’re a runner or a companion, you’ll enjoy this unique experience.
- If you’d like to take a group trip with your athletic club, or simply with friends, our packages are sure to meet your needs, subject to availability. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
- This marathon trip is one of our most popular events. We are often fully booked months in advance, even before the final program is released in January of the same year. We therefore invite you to pre-register to avoid any disappointment. This will guarantee your race numbers, as opposed to the organizer’s lottery.
