Options 2 and 3 still available! Option 1 is now complete. When you run the London Marathon, you’re taking part in one of the biggest marathons in the world. There are over two million supporters cheering you on, so you’re guaranteed a great atmosphere during the race. The course is flat, fast and friendly.
The marathon starts at Greenwich on Sunday morning. The organization has set up 3 different zones: blue, green and red. Depending on the time you’re aiming for, you’ll be assigned to a starting zone. This starting point will be an opportunity to discover the Cutty Sark, a famous British naval sailing ship.
In addition to its lively, upbeat atmosphere, London’s most famous landmarks are on your route from the start of this popular race, including Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, the Tower of London, Westminster, the London Eye, Big Ben and the River Thames on the final kilometers. The finish line, in Saint James Park next to Buckingham Palace, is a fitting end to your experience. So British!
The Virgin Money London Marathon is one of the six marathons making up the World Marathon Majors, along with Berlin, Boston, Chicago, New York and Tokyo. If you’re a keen runner, particularly off-stadia, an athlete or a beginner, come and take part in the 44th edition of the marathon and get your medal and finisher’s T-shirt for this legendary event.
As with every year, the organizers are planning an exhibition where you can pick up your race number. No medical certificate is required. No Pasta Party is offered by the organization. That’s why we’re offering a private one at the hotel, for an extra charge the day before the event.
