Florence Marathon 2026
Take advantage of Florence to participate in its marathon. In 2025, the event will organize its 41st edition. The race organizers offer a superb route through the city center, making the 42.195 km even more enjoyable.
Requirements

Competitive running
- Have an athletics license from the Fédération Française d’Athlétisme or any other European federation recognized by the marathon organization.
- OR, an Italian RunCard (€15) and an Italian medical certificate.
Running as a non-competitor
Sign the organizers’ release form. You will have access to the same services but will be ranked by name rather than time. Your time will be sent to you individually with your certificate. If you are not a licensed athlete, this is the solution we recommend. It is the simplest option while still offering the same services.

Marathon Overview
The Florence Marathon is Italy’s second largest marathon after Rome. With more than 10,000 registered runners, the Firenze Marathon has attracted runners from all over the world, who enjoy the splendors of this city with its typical Renaissance architecture as they strive to achieve their best performance.
You will be captivated by its start and finish in the city center on the famous Piazza Duomo. You will enjoy a route steeped in history, passing by Cathedral Square, Piazza della Signoria, and the very popular Ponte Vecchio. It will also be an opportunity for you to discover the surrounding hills and countryside, offering you a beautiful glimpse of the Tuscany region.
With the exception of a few sections, the Florence Marathon course is fairly flat and fast, which is appreciated by the athletes who choose this race. The warm atmosphere and the crowds of supporters lining the course will help you achieve your goal.

2026 rates
This option is for people who wish to travel on their own (airport/hotel transfers not included).
A deposit of half the cost of the trip is payable at the time of booking, with the balance due 90 days before departure.
This price includes :
- 3 nights in a 4-star hotel (Roma or equivalent)
- 3 buffet breakfasts
- Assistance from our representative
- Planet Tours backpack and jersey offered to runners
- Delivery of your Planet Tours backpacks and shirts via Mondial Relay: €18 (otherwise, you can pick them up at the agency. No bags will be handed out at the hotel).
- Marathon registration fee: €69
- Cancellation/lost luggage insurance: €40 per person/with HEALTH PROTECTION extension included: €60
- Personal expenses and hotel minibar charges
- Tourist taxes to be paid directly to the hotel (€7 per night per person as of today)
IMPORTANT: READ BEFORE REGISTERING
If you are traveling alone and ask to share your room with another rider, we will try to accommodate your request, provided we have another participant who has expressed the same wish. Failing this, you will be upgraded to a single room at the single room rate.
Triple rooms are reserved for people who know each other. If a booking does not comply with this rule, it will be cancelled and a processing fee will be retained.
Departure from Paris Orly on Friday on a direct flight – Paris Orly at 7:05 AM, arrival in Florence at 8:80 AM.
Return flight on Monday from Florence at 8:45 PM, arrival at Roissy CDG at 10:35 PM.
